Since it was established 10 years ago, The Ingenuity Network has grown into a thriving community of over 1800 individuals. Here, we feature examples of how some of those individuals have benefited from working with the University of Nottingham.
This month our featured member is Susan Hallam of Hallam Internet which is a full service digital marketing agency employing 55 professionals. Team Hallam has recently won The Drum Recommends Grand Prix Agency of the Year, as well as Best for Search, Best Usability, Best for Client Services and Best Digital Full service. Congratulations!
Susan was asked about her company’s experience of the Ingenuity Network, she said:
“I’ve known Steve for many years, and I’ve been involved with the Ingenuity Network since 2013. Initially I joined the network as a valuable means to network with other local businesses. but as our company has grown our relationship with the Ingenuity Network has been instrumental in supporting our development into one of the most successful digital agencies in the UK.
“The Network provides exceptional support to entrepreneurs like me in the form of informal workshops and events, larger scale conferences and other events. I was fortunate enough to be invited to participate in Ingenuity17 and it is always exceptionally useful to get meet up with other like minded businesses at the Ingenuity Network events.
“We have a close working relationship with the University, and as an SME we know the University plays an important role in supporting the development of our company’s intrinsic competitive advantage.
“We delivered the University’s successful Digital Marketing Academy to help students get that vital foot-in-the-door knowledge of the competitive digital marketing industry through a series of tailored activities – culminating in an insight day at our offices.
“Over the years have also had postgraduate students working on a research project for us.
“We are proud to employee University of Nottingham graduates, and you can learn more about Physics graduate Jonathan Catton who now is a PPC expert, and Stanley Dunthorne, who has an MA in American Studies, who is a digital marketing consultant, and Content Consultant Rebecca Bull (MSc Biochemistry)
“We have also been fortunate enough to have the University as a Hallam client. We have provided training and consultancy to University departments, and worked with their marketing services in the use of Social Media, Google Analytics, and helping to develop an overarching digital strategy.
“Being part of the Ingenuity Network has played an important part in making our business more successful, faster.
“Investing your time with the Ingenuity Network will pay dividends in making your business more successful. Get involved, take advantage of the skills and experience and knowledge of the Ingenuity team.”
