Chemical and Environmental Engineering Students Available for Industrial Placements

Do you have a new contract or a technical project that could use an extra pair of hands over the next year? If so, The University of Nottingham Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering would love to hear from you!

Our second and third year students will soon be available to take on full-year industrial placements, which count towards their final degree. They all undergo a high-quality training in engineering practice, with design skills, industrial case studies and use of AutoCAD now part of the syllabus from day one. Taking a Nottingham chemical engineering student on a one-year placement will therefore offer your business a chance to benefit from an additional team member who can make a real contribution to your project.

The placement can be in any industry sector, but it needs to start this summer, last a year, pay a salary (generally around £15k p.a.) and represent a genuine opportunity to get involved in a technical engineering project.

If you would be interested in offering a placement opportunity to our students, either now or in the future, please do get in touch. Our students are always on the lookout for Summer and Easter vacation opportunities too, so even if you don’t have a one-year project we would still love to hear from you. We can help you to advertise and to shortlist candidates, whilst leaving you in control of the final decision.
