CBI East Midlands Regional Council Annual Election – call for nominations

Your opportunity to get involved

The CBI have asked us to circulate the following opportunity, which may be of interest to members of the Ingenuity Network:

CBI Regional and National Councils play a key role in forming and influencing our policy. The CBI receives its mandate from 9 Regional Councils, 3 National Councils from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland plus our subject based policy standing committees. Each quarter this engagement process reaches over 600 of our members who have a direct say in what we do and how we do it. The Regional Council consists of representatives from member companies in the region, elected by the members.

The CBI is committed to having a council that reflects the diversity of our business community and we welcome nominations from businesses across a range of sectors and sizes.  We are also keen to ensure our SME members are represented throughout our Councils and Committees and have a real voice in the CBI. This year we will hold two ballots in our Council election, SME members will be put on a separate ballot with 25% of the total Council places allocated to SME members where applicable.

Once your form is submitted we will assume that, where appropriate, you have the approval of your CEO. We will be accepting nominations until the end of October and then the elections will be held during November. We will let you know the results in December and the new councillor positions will commence as of 1 January 2018.
