The University of Nottingham is offering a £1,500 grant to support companies to take on a University of Nottingham graduate through the Nottingham Internship Scheme.
“A great calibre of students”
A graduate internship can be an excellent way to complete a project that your company might not otherwise have the resources for, or as a trial with the view to a permanent role in your company. In the following short video, Ashleigh Burns, Head of Marketing at Sport Lived, talks about their experience of taking on an intern through the Nottingham Internship Scheme.
Nearly 60 students are already confirmed to start internships through the scheme in June. We will be promoting a new selection of graduate internships to our students in late June – July, so if you think your company could benefit from a graduate internship and could provide a suitable internship opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
To be eligible for the scheme a graduate internship must last a minimum of 12 weeks, and be paid at least national minimum wage.
If you would like to be part of the scheme there is a simple application form to complete. Please email Diane Blything, Work Experience Officer at The University of Nottingham’s Careers and Employability Service, requesting the application form by 10th June and she will send it to you within 24 hours.
Although the 10th June is the deadline for the current round of opportunities, there will be further opportunities throughout the winter. If you feel your company might benefit from a graduate internship, but don’t have anything suitable for the current round of applications, Diane would welcome a conversation about developing future internship opportunities. You can reach her on 0115 7484525 for an informal chat or connect on LinkedIn.
