Funding from central government and the University will be used to create a new Technology Entrepreneurship Centre – an intensive incubation facility where technology-based entrepreneurs will engage with the University’s expertise in key sectoral technologies and enterprise education.

The Centre will be housed in a new 2,000 sq.M three storey building alongside the iconic Sir Colin Campbell Building, at a cost £5.2M. The building will provide office-based accommodation for up to 50 technology driven start-up businesses and early-stage SME’s from the local business community; it has been designed to facilitate interaction between occupants, with the flexibility to host individuals in both seminar and ideas’generation modes.
