Ingenuity KnowledgeXchange Breakfast Event
The University of Nottingham’s International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (ICCSR) is described as the ‘home of better business’. In this presentation, ICCSR’s Paul Caulfield will join forces with Andy Corley, MD of Quadralene, to explore the theme of ‘Creating cultures for better business’.
Paul’s academic work is built upon experience gained in Strategic Planning and Corporate Responsibility with BP, where he was responsible for European strategic planning and for community investment and engagement strategy focusing on improving sustainable interventions. Prior to joining BP, he held senior roles in strategic business development, focusing on business modelling and venture finance for major European and US banks. He has operational experience of MNC and NGO operations in the developing world covering sustainable business development and capability building in Angola, Russia, Vietnam and Bangladesh.
A trained geologist, Andy developed his strategic thinking in a career of various leadership roles. Transitioning from Head of Minerals Estates and Technical Development at Hanson Bricks Europe to become General Manager of Lafarge Concrete Products Ltd, Andy gained invaluable commercial knowledge and wisdom. He went on to become the Sales and Marketing Director of Lafarge Aggregates Limited. Now he is Group Managing Director and Owner of Quadralene Ltd, an award winning specialist manufacturing company. Andy is passionate about shaping corporate culture and stretching others to excel in their thinking and practices.

The ‘Shop Window’
The Shop Window is your chance to take the floor to make a brief presentation to the room about something you are looking for help with.
From the University? If you have a business-facing project or want to work with local small and medium-sized businesses as part of your research, this is your opportunity to make contact with business owners. Our network members are already interested in what happens at the University and may be interested in participating with your initiative.
From a business? Sorry, but the Shop Window isn’t the time for a “60 second pitch”. Feedback from our network members tells us that our businesses want something different from Ingenuity. But it is your opportunity to do some research of your own: request volunteers for new product or service trials, ask if anyone has any recommendations for difficult-to-find suppliers, or simply share some news that the audience might not find out about otherwise.
If you would like to participate in the Shop Window just drop us a line.
